However, the ECB warns investors on Thursday that, if not, Bitcoin is still a long-term scam.
上个月，美国证券交易委员会（SEC）批准了首批在美国上市的追踪比特币的交易所交易基金（ETF）。对此，欧洲央行分析师在周四的一篇博客文章中将其描述为“赤裸裸的皇帝新衣”，重申了他们长期以来的观点，即这种加密货币没有实际价值，可能导致的问题比解决的问题多。
Last month, the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved the first exchange transaction fund (ETF) to track bitcoin that was listed in the United States. In response, the ECB analysts described it as a “naked emperor's new suit” in a blog article on Thursday, reiterating their long-standing view that such encrypted currency has no real value and could lead to more problems than solving problems.
据悉，这些问题包括环境破坏和财富再分配，伤害了那些对市场了解较少的人。
These problems are known to include environmental damage and redistribution of wealth, to the detriment of those who have less knowledge of the market.

Ulrich Bindseil of the European Central Bank and Jü rgen Schaaf, in his blog post, said: “For followers, official approval confirmed that Bitcoin investment was safe, and the previous rebound proved an unstoppable victory. We disagree with both statements, and reiterate that Bitcoin’s fair value remains zero.”
欧洲央行专家表示，比特币在产生现金流或其他基于价值的回报方面不足，这使其成为一项糟糕的投资。利用数字货币匿名性的网络犯罪活动，进一步侵蚀了其作为日常支付方式的潜在使用案例。此外，开采比特币继续引起环境问题。
According to ECB experts, Bitcoin is insufficient to generate cash flows or other value-based returns, making it a bad investment. Using digital currency anonymity as a form of cybercrime, it further erodes its potential use as a mode of daily payment.

“Ah, all these risks have been realized”, the bank wrote.

The US SEC launched a green light in January for 11 US spot-based bitcoin ETFs. These investment instruments were blown to make investors more accessible to the world’s largest encrypted currency and helped drive the total market value of encrypted money to reach $2 trillion for the first time since April 2022.
欧洲央行写道：“对社会来说，比特币的新一轮繁荣-萧条周期是一个可怕的前景。所带来的伤害将是巨大的，包括环境破坏和以牺牲普通投资者为代价的最终财富再分配。”。
The ECB wrote: “The new boom-bust cycle of Bitcoin is a terrible prospect for society. The damage will be enormous, including environmental damage and the eventual redistribution of wealth at the expense of ordinary investors.”
Bindseil和Schaaf将比特币热潮归因于肆无忌惮的价格操纵、外界对“犯罪货币”的需求激增，以及当局判断和措施方面的缺陷。他们还补充说，美联储若今年降息，可能会在比特币的涨势上再浇点油。
Bindseil and Schaaf attributed the surge in bitcoin to unbridled price manipulation, the surge in external demand for “criminal currency” and shortcomings in the authorities’ judgement and measures. They added that the Fed might be able to fuel the growth of bitcoin if it were to lower interest rates this year.

In their report, they wrote: “Although, it may be just a flashback. In the short term, inflows can have a huge impact on prices, and everyone will ignore the fundamentals. But in the long run, prices will eventually recover to their fundamental face value.”

“If there is no cash flow or any other return, the fair value of a certain type of asset is zero. Any price that is out of the basics of the economy is equally untenable — it's just a phantom in the river.” They add.
最后，欧洲央行官员们还呼吁当局在监控比特币相关犯罪时保持警惕，并表示“这项工作尚未完成”。
Finally, ECB officials also called on the authorities to remain vigilant when monitoring offences related to Bitcoin, saying that “the work has not yet been completed”.
