Tether USD(简称USDT)，中文名称为泰达币。发行 USDT 的 Tether 公司，原名 Realcoin，注册地为马恩岛和香港。2014年，Realcoin 公司更名为 Tether。2015年，Tether 公司发行的 Tether 在交易平台 bitfinex 和 Poloniex 上线，此后又在更多的大型交易平台上线。USDT可以被看作是一个像比特币一样的加密货币，可以让用户进行转账，存储和消费。USDT的出现给数字货币投资者提供了一个将持有的数字货币兑换成法币的通道。

According to Tether White Paper published by Tether, a French token for trading using the Bitcoin block chain: “Each issuer of Tethers is tied to one dollar of the United States dollar and the corresponding total dollar amount is stored in Hong Kong Tether Limited (i.e., a Tether dollar).” Users can transfer the United States dollar to bank accounts provided by Tether by SWIFT, or exchange them for USDT. When the dollar is redeemed, the reverse action is sufficient. Tether's website claims that it will strictly adhere to the 1:1 reserve guarantee that its bank account will have a $1 dollar guarantee for each issue of 1 USDT.
