History of Bitcoin Miner Development
采用POW机制的数字货币,不依赖任何组织或者机构的发行,而是通过大量的计算产生,任何人都可以通过挖矿设备接入网络进行挖矿。从2009年中本聪使用电脑的CPU挖出了第一批比特币到目前主流的数字货币单个矿工基本已经无法挖到,挖矿对于算力的要求越来越高,矿工的日子也越来越不好过。
The digital currency using the POW mechanism does not depend on the distribution of any organization or institution, but is generated by a large number of calculations that allow anyone to access the network by digging mining equipment. From the computer-based CPU in mid-2009, the first batch of digital miners in Bitcoins to the current mainstream is virtually impossible to dig, and mining is becoming more demanding for arithmetic, and the miner’s days are getting worse.

1-generation miner: relying mainly on CPU
在比特币发展初期的挖矿难度较小,因此大部分个人PC直接挖矿的收益都大于功耗(如挖矿产生的电费,机器的耗损等)。
Mining was less difficult in the early stages of Bitcoin development, so most individual PCs directly dig for more than their power (e.g., electricity costs from mining, machinery wear and tear, etc.).
2代矿机:主要依靠GPU
2-generation miners: relying mainly on GPU
随着全网挖矿难度的不断增加,普通的CPU运算速度已经无法满足高难度的挖矿算法.于是一块或者多块较高端的显卡组装的挖矿设备就诞生了。
With the increasing difficulty of net mining, the common CPU operation is no longer able to meet the difficult mining algorithm... So one or more of the high-end graphic card-assembled mining equipment is born.
3代矿机:主要依靠专业矿机
3-generation miners: relying mainly on specialized miners
相比电脑CPU、显卡挖矿,FPGA挖矿的时代特别短暂,仅存半年时间。

低算力的矿工在每个块里的优势越来越低,只又很小的几率获得份额,于是“矿池”这个神奇的东西就出现了,矿池就是集中大家的算力,相对于算力单薄的其他矿工来说能够有更大的几率出块,大家分得的份额也就更多。
Low-calculus miners are gaining a smaller share in each block, so the magic of a “breathing pond” emerges. The pond is a pool of people's arithmetic, with a larger share than any other miner with a thin balance.
