近期，“元宇宙”概念横空出世，一些不法分子紧跟热点，以“元宇宙投资项目”“元宇宙商城”“元宇宙数字币”等名目吸收资金，涉嫌非法集资、诈骗等违法犯罪活动，江阴、宜兴警方提醒广大群众务必保持理性，谨慎投资。

1、2022年3月26日，徐某发现有个“元某”APP利用元宇宙打造概念商城，可入资返现，还有推荐费，怀疑系诈骗。

1、编造虚假元宇宙投资项目。翻炒与元宇宙相关的游戏制作、人工智能、虚拟现实等概念，编造包装名目众多的高科技投资项目，公开虚假宣传高额收益，借机吸收公众资金“割韭菜”，借助元宇宙概念包装的“杀猪盘”“资金盘”骗局，本质上就是未经批准的非法公开融资。
